OUR CHARITY OF CHOICE
Since 1993, the Native American Heritage Association (NAHA) has worked to improve the lives of Native American families living on reservations in South Dakota. Communities such as Pine Ridge, Crow Creek, Lower Brule, Cheyenne River and Rosebud face severe poverty, food insecurity and limited access to many of life’s basic necessities. NAHA responds with direct, practical assistance—delivering nutritious food, clothing, household essentials and other critical resources to families who need them.
NAHA’s support reaches far beyond food deliveries. Its programs help families endure the brutal Northern Plains winters with heating stoves, propane, warm clothing and winter gear for children. Emergency vouchers help people obtain food, heating fuel and transportation to medical appointments that may be more than 100 miles away. Holiday meals and toys bring comfort and joy to families during special times of the year. Together, these programs protect health and safety, preserve dignity and provide meaningful support through some of life’s most difficult moments.
The RLC Party’ers are proud to recognize NAHA as our charity of choice. We believe deeply in its guiding principle: offering a hand up, not a handout. NAHA combines compassion with action, accountability and respect for the communities it serves—and that mission means the world to us. Through the generosity of our Party’ers, we are honoured to help keep NAHA’s trucks moving, its programs operating and vital assistance reaching Native American children, elders and families across South Dakota.
